Dr. N V Krishnamurthy
Dr. N V Krishnamurthy is the Director and Chief Consultant of Prajna Kuteera, a unique Ayurveda, Panchakarma & Rejuvenation Centre and Abhijna International Academy of Ayurveda and Yoga, at Mysore Karnataka, India. A Gold Medallist and a Post-graduate( MD Kayachikitsa) from the University of Mysore in Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, he comes from an illustrious family of Royal Physicians who treated the Erstwhile Kings of Mysore. A Ph.D scholar of Yoga from SVYASA Deemed University, Bangalore, Dr. Krishnamurthy is the President of the Global Alliance Of Traditional Health Systems (GATHS), India & the Vice-President of The Mind Body Spirit Society Of India (MBSSI).
He is the Executive Secretary of the NGO, Swami Vivekananda Research Institute of Medical Sciences and Rural Development Centre (R), Mysore and Tumkur Districts, Karnataka, India, which provides free medical services in rural areas. He has conducted innumerable health camps and Yoga therapy camps, blood donation camps under this umbrella. Dr. Krishnamurthy has several Research papers to his credit and has been a prominent voice at various International Conferences. He served at the JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysore as the Head of the Department of Panchakarma. Currently he is a Visiting Faculty to SJG Ayurveda Medical College, Koppal & Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mysore. He is also the District co-ordinator of the ‘Stop Diabetes' movement of the SVYASA University, Bengaluru.
Dr. Krishnamurthy has also been involved with the NSS as a Programme Officer at the RGUHS. His expertise in the subject draws a lot of foreigners to study Ayurveda & Yoga with him. An exponent in the Art & science of Yoga, Pranayama, Vaastu & Agnihotra, Dr. Krishnamurthy has been guiding students & patients. Recognizing his Yeoman service, Dr. Krishnamurthy has been awarded the Rotary – Vijay Vocational Award & The Mysuru Rathna Award . He is also the recipient of the Aryabhata Award for Excellence in Ayurveda Research by AAPNA at Los Angeles, USA.
Dr. Poornima K. Murthy
Dr. Poornima K. A Gold Medallist and a Post -graduate (MD Kayachikitsa )from the University of Mysore, she is a Member of the Rashtreeya Ayurveda Vidyapeetha, New Delhi. A Ph.D scholar of Yoga, she is the Secretary of the Global Alliance Of Traditional Health Systems (GATHS), India & The Mind Body Spirit Society Of India (MBSSI).
She is the Treasurer of the NGO, Swami Vivekananda Research Institute of Medical Sciences and Rural Development Centre (R), Mysore and Tumkur Districts, Karnataka, India which provides free medical services in rural areas. Dr. Poornima has several Research papers to her credit and has been a prominent voice at various International Conference. She conducts regular workshops & seminars on Ayurveda & Yoga in USA, Australia & Singapore. She is also a member of South Asian Society for Atherosclerosis and Thrombosis (SASAT),India and a Visiting Faculty to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mysore. It was her dream to bring the three Vedic Sciences viz., Music, Ayurveda and Yoga into one focus under one roof. This heralded the founding of RAAGA Music Academy (R), Mysore, of which, she is the Managing Trustee. RAAGA has been promoting wellness through Music since 2013.
She was awarded the Rotary – Vijay Vocational Award for her yeoman service to the society in the field of health care and the Saarthaka Seva Award by Kautilya Vidyalaya. The DHARMA Award at Los angeles, USA was in recognition of her outstanding contribution to promotion of Ayurveda globally & the Vachaspathi Award, 2012, for best paper presentation at the 4th International Conference on Skin, Spa and Beauty by AAPNA (Association of Ayurveda professionals of North America), USA in September 2012.
